About the company
Our client specializes in helping materials producers to streamline their business and drive growth with direct-to-market teams on behalf of their clients or partners. Those partners range from billion-dollar companies specializing in industrial solvents and chemical products to major, international food ingredient providers.
Our client is looking for a French-speaking Business Manager to strategically drive growth and improve business performance for different partner accounts. The Business Manager will lead a sales & customer service team and oversee the business operations to assist the development of the team and overall business. The Business Manager reports to the EMEA Vice President.
What you will do
- Managing the business units' financial performance and boosting the sales performance of your team
- Managing key accounts and developing existing clients’ relationships
- Managing the strong working relationships with business unit partners and maintaining high service levels by your team to ensure the great customer experience
- Actively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
- Developing go-to-market strategies through multi-faceted interactions to drive revenue growth and expand the customer base
- Motivating team members and guiding team development
- Participating in the overall internal management of the branch and the company's well-being
Who you are
- Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management or other related backgrounds.
- Minimum 7-8 years of experience in a commercial function (sales, account management, business development) and 3+ years of leadership experience
- Experience with P&L and other financial responsibilities
- Experience selling in an international B2B environment within the chemical/engineering industry would be a plus
- Speaking French on a near-native level with a business level of English
- Demonstrated experience leading across different business functions
- Entrepreneurial spirit with solid negotiation skills, strong adaptability, problem-solving ability, and drive to succeed
- Strong team player; motivated and extremely customer-centric
- Willingness to travel up to 25% (for client visits, fairs, technical training, …)
- Eligible to work in the Netherlands
